What is CCSRS

Who is this service for?

This service addresses the needs of patients in the following diagnostic groups:

  • Head injury and stroke.
  • Subarachnoid haemorrhage.
  • Post neurosurgery for benign or non-aggressive tumours.
  • Other acquired brain damage e.g. anoxic, toxic, metabolic, infective, inflammatory.
  • People in low level awareness states from whatever cause.
  • Progressive neurological conditions e.g. multiple sclerosis.
  • Non-progressive neurological conditions e.g. Guillain-Barre.
  • Spinal injury or spinal stroke.
  • Congenital problems such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, genetic syndromes where the predominant issues are physical.
  • Other neurological disease e.g. post polio syndrome.
