The Colman Centre offers a seamless inter-disciplinary specialist rehabilitation service for patients with complex disabilities resulting from conditions such as acquired brain injury, progressive neurological conditions and limb loss.
The service is delivered in the following settings:
- In-patient
- Brief stay
- Day patient
- Community
- In-reach to other care settings
- Out-reach to places of residence
The service is aimed at people of working age with conditions such as:
- Head injury and other acquired brain injury
- Stroke
- Subarachnoid haemorrhage
- Post neurosurgery
- Low level awareness states
- Progressive neurological conditions
- Spinal insult
- Congenital problems
- Others eg post polio syndrome, neuromuscular disorders
The service for people with congenital or acquired limb loss is for all ages
